Countryside – Accessible every day througout the year
Bridgewater Monument – Saturday and Sunday 12:00-16:30 from 15 Mar-26 Oct 08 (Also open Bank Holiday Mondays)
Visitor Centre and Shop – Every day 12 – 5pm from 15 Mar-21 Dec 08
Tea-room – Every day 10 – 5pm from 15 Mar-21 Dec 08 10-5
Pitstone Windmill - Sunday 2.30 – 6pm from 1 Jun-31 Aug 08 (Also open August Bank Holiday Monday)
Visitor centre
National Trust Shop is open everyday until 21st Dec 10am – 5pm (or dusk if earlier). The shop sells a wide range of products including a large range of local produce and a new plant sales area.
Second Hand books are available when the Visitor Centre is open 40p each or 4 for £1.00. (If you have any good quality second hand books that you no longer want we would be grateful to receive them).
Admission Prices
Donations from countryside visitors welcomed. Horse riding permits are available to purchase from our horse riding warden, telephone for details.

WCs at Visitor Centre - open 10-5pm
Baby change – open 10-5pm
Disabled toilet – available 24/7 by radar key
Dogs
Dogs are welcome, but must be kept under close control at all times to avoid worrying wildlife. Please help us to look after the estate by taking any dog mess home with you.
Picnic areas
There are areas for picnicking near the Monument. Please help us to look after the estate by taking your litter home with you.
Refreshments
Tea-room (not NT) at Visitor Centre serving light lunches and afternoon teas. Seating area is outdoors.
Shopping
National Trust gift shop at Visitor Centre.
Information for visitors
A wide variety of leaflets including self-guided walks and I-Spy sheets are available from the Visitor Centre.
Learning
The Ashridge estate is very popular with school groups. Facilities include an education room, hands-on activities and taught programmes for primary schools. Contact us to find out more.
Base camp
The Chilterns volunteer base camp is situated on the Ashridge estate. It providing group accommodation for up to 20 people. Contact us to find out more.
Available for functions
The study base can be hired for small private functions. Meadley’s Meadow, behind the Visitor Centre, can also be hired out.
