Powered Mobility Vehicles (PMVs)

Visitors are welcome to use their wheelchairs, mobility scooters and pushchairs anywhere on the Ashridge Estate where pedestrians are permitted to walk but are reminded that off designated routes the conditions on and around paths drives may become very difficult in the Autumn and Winter and any time after heavy rain.

The Friends of Ashridge provide a number of Personal Mobility Vehicles (PMVs) as described below and these, as is described, may only be used on certain routes. However these are excellent linear and circular routes that provide interesting woodland and splendid views.

National Trust PMVs at Ashridge

All the National Trust PMV’s at Ashridge are electrically powered and quite simple to control and use. Their purpose is to enable persons of limited mobility to have access to areas of the property remote from the Visitor Centre.
